Discover the basics of digital milling using our 3-axis CNCs.
Step by step, from software to machine, from theory to practical experience, you’ll get the keys to using these machines to the full. A CNC can be used to create a multitude of shapes in a wide variety of materials. Wood, polystyrene, Plexiglas and many others can be transformed into topographical surveys, designer furniture and much more.
Programme: Over the course of 4 hours, the basic parameters for cutting a contour and drilling a pocket will be covered using Vectric VCarve Pro software. We’ll also look at how to set up the machine and the safety rules in the wood workshop, to give you all the information you need to carry out your future projects using the fablab’s CNC machines.
Once completing the course, you will have access to the software and tool database from which you can then prepare your files for milling at Cityfab2.
