Learn how to scan an object or person in 3D and then print your scan on a 3D printer.
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of 3D printing and 3D scanning at Cityfab2
Creating a 3D scan of something allows you use it in a 3D environment or as a 3D file which you can print any number of times on a 3D printer and bring that object to life.
Want to make a 3D scan of yourself or a friend? Bring them along and you can create your own statues.
During this 4 hour workshop you will use some of the digital tools available here at Cityfab2 to scan an object or person. We will then learn how to use a “slicer” software to prepare the file for 3D printing and watch the object print in 3D right before your eyes. Discover how easy it is to reproduce someone or something and have fun in the process.
This workshop is open to all levels and covers the basics of 3D scanning and 3D printing. To take your 3D knowledge to another level, please check out our training on 3D design with Fusion 360C.
